I just randomly picked colors and was so unsure of how this would turn out. I was really thrilled with the result. I’m planning to make one of these with earth tone colors next for a more “classy” less “funky” look
The pattern is from the Jan/Feb issue of Needlework Magazine.

Swaps I’ve received November 18, 2008
Here’s what I’ve gotten in the mail lately!
The most adorable dotee doll dog!

More Swaps I’ve Sent November 18, 2008
I keep forgetting to take pics but here’s what I managed to remember:
Handmade beads with a winter theme. I hosted/created this swap and Karen participated so we mixed up some of our stuff together to give our partners more variety. She made the big heart which is really ideally a pendant not a bead as well as the blue snowflakes.
A bracelet:
My first dotee doll (they’re these weird little handmade dolls that have a tail and a hanger, plus you stitch a face and figure out what else depending on the theme if there is one).
A felt ornament:
3 sets of earrings (plus pendants) for an earring exchange
Apple Dumplings October 23, 2008
My boyfriend and I had a little bbq on Sunday and I made apple dumplings for dessert. I almost forgot to take a pic before it was too lat. These were so easy to make and holy moly were they delicious. Recipe here but whatever you do don’t pour out any of the liquid. It’s syrup and it’s delicious! Next time I would cut up extra apple slices and put them between the dumplings.
Earrings Received October 23, 2008
I need to get to work making the earrings for this swap. I’ve already received my first pair. The flash dulled the color. They’re green with purple beads and they’re crocheted. Very cute huh!
Halloween Stockings Received! October 23, 2008
OMG I love them both! This first one is hard to see but it’s got a spider web pattern to the fabric and the toe area curls up really cool.
And this one came with a handmade “mutant bunny” that I think is just too cool!
Here’s what my fireplace looks like!
Bracelets received October 11, 2008
These are the 2 bracelets I received from my partner in the handmade jewelry swap I was in awhile back. I forgot to take a pic till now oops! I love them both but especially love the little bees beads (that may be hard to see in this pic) on the red one.
Inchies Swap October 11, 2008
These are inchies I received from 2 swaps. The ones on the left are from a “word” swap (the gasp one cracks me up) and the 2 on the right are from a “newbie inchies” swap.
